A challenging aspect for this project was waiting to get the right lighting for the photos. The first day I went out, it was overcast and everything came out too dark. It was also hard getting the camera to capture what I thought I was seeing. I was trying to capture the bluish-grey that I was seeing in the trees, but they all came out grey. In the future, I think I might go to a botanic garden because the usually have a wide array of trees and at Longwood, there is more controlled lighting.

Out of all of my images, these are the most successful because they really have a distinct ton/mood. My other pictures were very static and I feel like in these, I caught the light in a way that makes them more visually interesting. The most challenging aspect for me was mostly my patience. I spent a lot of time just walking around and waiting for the light to pass through and catch the glass in a way that would emulate the photographer. In the future I want to to play around more and maybe get colored glass or get bottles and hang them around and just see what the light decides to do and capture it.
Our prompt for the Assignment was Land, Earth, Sea. On Labor Day, I went to Assateague Island and took many pictures on the beach, one the main road, and on the marshy part of the land. I took a lot of great photos but this one was the most successful in my opinion because of the dynamic movement
